Haddock and cod were outstanding! Love the mushy peas. Couldn't stop eating them. They were to die for!

Conveniently located in the heart of Chorlton, Atlantic Fish offers a standard fish and chip shop menu at a reasonable price.
Firstly, the service. When I visited but the staff were all very young and seemed thoroughly overwhelmed. There was very little food ready to go, meaning those who wanted even very commonly ordered dishes (like cod) had to wait ~10 minutes for it. A couple of customers walked out rather than wait. The staff were also unclear on what they had available. With my battered sausage and chips, I ordered a pineapple ring... After about 4 minutes I was told there weren't any left by a pretty unapologetic young lady.
The food was reasonable considering the low price. The chips were a little puny so by the time I'd got home they were quite greasy, however they tasted good.
Whilst ok for what I paid I don't think I'll visit Atlantic again, I'd be happier to pay a little extra for more pleasant service and food that is available. -

We had food from here recently and it was not good at all. My fish was freshly cooked - I know this as I saw them cooking it - and yet still tasted like it'd been sat around for hours. As did the chips. The journey from chippy to couch is roughly five minutes so they can't have suffered that much, also they have survived the journey on previous occasions so no reason why they shouldn't this time. I'm not sure if the fish and potatoes themselves weren't great, if the oil hadn't been changed recently enough, or what. I'm giving two stars instead of one because it's still pretty good value and I did eat my entire meal so it obviously wasn't totally rancid. However I won't be coming back here for a while.

Favourite Chorlton fish and chip shop. A true "chippy" which doesn't do pizza, kebabs or Chinese food and it makes a difference Lively crispy batter, love the Atlantic cakes. One problem: the fish are way too large so always order a small or share with someone else! Wish they did delivery but otherwise no complaints :D

Fish and chips almost on my doorstep! Good/bad!
I always enjoy the fish and chips here and the turnover is pretty high so it should all be recently cooked. The portions are absolutely massive by the way. I wouldn't get a large unless you're sharing. Also quite reasonably priced, I don't know why it's classed as £££!
Sometimes I wish they did cheesy chips though, just for when you're not having fish, obviously! The man behind the counter that is ALWAYS there said we don't do cheese we're a fish and chip shop. He may have a point but....
